Silk is a native of Canada. academic. Silk was raised in Fredericton. The daughter of Peter, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor and director. She was also a playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna recounts some of the first moments in her childhood when she used to see her mother in play rehearsals. Silk featured in a few commercials that she was in as a child. She was in 1997 when she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the initial years: Seven Menusand The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to further her acting profession in November 1999. She later, in the decade that followed, she relocated into Los Angeles, California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. In 2009 they were married civilly in December 2009. The 10th of April, 2011 the couple renewed their vows at the context of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton after she had converted to Judaism.
