Mary Marg Helgenberger (born November 16th, 1958) is an American actress. Her career began in the late 80s. From 1982 until 1986, she starred as Siobhan Ryan on the cult program that aired on the daytime channel Ryan's Hope. She is best known for her character of Catherine Willows in the CBS police procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation, a TV series that ran from 2000 until 2013 as well as Immortality the TV movie that was released in the year 2015. McCain has received her formal education at Phoenix Country Day School followed by Xavier College Preparatory a Catholic school for girls that is an all-girls private school. In 2007, she earned a bachelor's in art history from Columbia University. In 2017, she became co-host of the morning show The View, which she was host from 2021 to 2021. For her work she received the honor of four Daytime Emmy Award nominations. McCain began writing a weekly column for The Daily Mail. Daily Mail after leaving The View. McCain also wrote four books, including My Dad John McCain, Dirty Sexy Politics and America You Sexy Bitch.
