Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage artist during the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions before making it famous in the national stage scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. The album was released by her too late for Tina in the same year. Her debut appearance into Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. It received wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's pupil. The next role she starred in was from 1964, when she enrolled with CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise maintained a successful career balancing Broadway television with Hollywood and portraying somber in contrast to the glamour doll image she had been portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she was also a prominent director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Then she settled in Vancouver after she was selected to play Samantha Carter.
